Any of you Elitists shooting the G19x, try a Brass Stacker Trapezoid Slide Lock yet? They only offer this product for Gen1-4 models, was wondering if the G19x would use the same Slide Lock? Thanks

I'd stay away from aftermarket slide locks. I tried one once and wound up with a chipped barrel.

How did an aftermarket side lock cause a chipped barrel?

WTF? I’ve been using Brass Stacker Slide Locks in ALL my Gen Glocks through the years, they are A+! What did you do to chip your Bbl? I’m calling BS!

    Well that explains it......

A lot of the aftermarket junk is simply snake oil

FWIW, I went to great pains to track down contact info for Graham last year. I spoke with him at length on the phone. While he’s not still actively marketing the MGSL, he does make them. He completely redesigned it to be compatible with the newer barrels. I bought two of them. One is sitting in my Polymer 80 and the other in the parts box. One day I’ll test them throughly with some accurate loads and a sandbag.

I think the MGSL was a good thing until Glock abandoned Tennifer and changed the hardness characteristics of their barrels.

I'm an elitist that has the original stock parts in his pistol. I've never stayed at Holliday Inn either.
Is an improved slide lock supposed to improve lock-up or something, or help with takedown?
The locking lever COULD have something to do with a chip in the barrel.

I have two Gen3 pistols with the "Penta-Dot" proofmark barrel from that time frame. With well over 20K rounds between the two, I can report that there is no sign of chipping on either of them. Both are stock except for Trijicon HD sights and grip plugs.

To return to the original question:
    NO.

Pre-Gen5 Slide Locks are NOT interchangeable with Gen5 Slide Locks.
