I have both a G19 and a G23. Just for laughs, does a G19 upper work on a G23 frame? I know you can use a conversion barrel, but what about a direct swap?
And of course, would the G23 upper function properly on the G19 frame, although I assume you would need to change the ejector for that one to have a shot.

if both are gen3 and earlier the answer is yes.

if one is 4th gen and other 3rd then the 3rd gen slide will fit the other lower.

then those would be gen 2s. I would say if your 19 doesn't have 3 pins then DO NOT shoot .40 from it. Supposedly the third pin was added to help with the .40 recoil. Don't damage your 19.

Now I have to go down to the safe and look. I know the G19 is three pin, the G23 might be two pin.

Just to clarify, the G19 is TWO PIN, sn CCVxxx
The G23 is three pin, sn RAxxx

The uppers do interchange, so I assume I could shoot 9mm in the G23 with no problem, .40 in the G19 might be a problem...

It just occurred to me, are the locking blocks the same or does it need to be changed out?

yeah shooting the 19 on the 23 frame should be no problem. I wouldn't bother risking the 19 frame.

Actually i wouldn't bother swapping them to shoot, but understand your curiosity. I would have it too if I owned either.

Disregard... By the time I responded, the OP had already clarified it was a 3 Pin frame.
