i went out to go shoot my g19 a few days ago. i had a few problems and was kinda shocked. i shot one mag (stock) 15rds and it went fine. loaded up a second mag (differant mag) and i had a stovepipe and two double feeds. i was like wtf!

i was kinda pissed and loaded up my 33rd and unloaded at a piece of wood. no jams or double feeds or anything. then i took that second mag i was having problems with and loaded up 15rds into it. shot all 15 with no problems. did it again with no problems.

i thought i might be limp wristing or something so i let my friend shoot it. hes never shot a handgun before so i figured he'd limp wrist and itd have problems again. well he shot the mag perfectly fine. so idk what the problem was so i was hoping you guys could help me out.

all 3 mags have had less the 200 shots on each

I bought my G30 a few weeks ago and in the first mag of the first outing I had 2 failure to feeds. I just merited it to the gun being new and something (whether in the mag, slide, etc) still being tight because the next 200 rounds went through the thing flawlessly.

IMO I wouldn't worry about it unless you encounter the issue again in a future outing.

In Indiana this time of year, were you outside? Shooting with gloves? Could your glove (or thumb) have been hitting the slide?

What kind of Ammo was it? The only time I've ever been able to make a glock w/ a stock mag jam was when I shot badly re-loaded ammo an NRA instructor gave me.

Could your thumb have been contacting the slide? That would account for it.

i shoot with both thumbs resting on the left side of the slide.

that has never caused a single problem in any of the glocks ive shot...

This is all guess work. However, you might want to detail strip the slide and clean with non chlorinated brake cleaner. It could be an extractor problem - maybe some crud in slide.

Do the cheap and easy stuff first.

The first 300 rounds I shot out of my new G19 I had 2 double feeds and 1 or 2 stovepipes. The next 5000 rounds have been flawless.

WTF ???? Am I wrong to say that ? Good hell. My glock cant have a tac light, or it will jam. I cant put 15 rnds in the mag or it wont fit in the gun. The plastic cup that holds the firing pin broke ( thats the cheapest ***** i have seen) Stove pipe. My beretta had no problems with tac lights. You can put all 15 rnds in and the mag goes in just fine, its never once jammed/stovepiped and all the other B.S. that glocks do. Go to the beretta fourms. You wont find the problems the the glocks do. I like the way my glock shoots, but man I cant trust this gun. Both the police/sheriff where I live hate the glocks. police have the 21, and the sheriff have the 17. Seems glocks losing there appeal

I think it's very safe to say your experience is not the norm, personally or with your local LE. There are lemons, but you can't seriously think your experience is the norm... can you?

The Beretta has it's own "problems". And, the Glock is in FAR greater LE and civilian circulation, meaning FAR more internet forum rants and rave opportunities. No platform is perfect.

Glock, IMO, is best measured in 9mm and by the G17. That's the direct comparison to the 92fs, P226, etc. What's your Glock? I won't be surprised if it's a .40sw, which, IMO, is the worst Glock for comparison.

You claim your LE have the G21 (fat brick grip) and the G17 (many whine about 9mm being weak). What exactly are their gripes?

It seems you need space to rant about your own personal, and limited Glock experience. And, so you have.
