G19 serial number Question

    Just picked up a Gen 3 G19 and noticed that all the serial numbers match,frame,slide, the barrel match but it has a 1 at the end next to the hexagon symbol.
    serial # EYLXXX
    Why that extra 1 ?
    Any info well be appreciated...

    I don't own one and might be wrong about this, but I think the 1 might symbolize the downward slant on the top front of the barrel hood. I don't remember what the pentagon symbol means.

    Yup, they put the 1 on them after they started putting the bevel on the front of the barrel hood.
