I'm not going to start another thread about FTE's or FTF's. But today I took my new G19 gen4 out for it's maiden voyage and had a little issue that puzzled me.

I would shoot through a magazine and the slide would lock back as it should. Then I would drop the empty mag, insert a new full one and with the palm of my left hand, give the mag a little bump to make sure it was seated properly. Then the slide would release and chamber the 1st round.

This seems like it could be a good thing, but I'm pretty sure it isn't supposed to operate that way. Any idea what I was doing wrong? Should I not bump the new mag to seat it? Thanks in advance for your help.

That is common with all Glocks, all generations. No big deal.

Hit it at 45 degree angle and it'll close 99% of the time. Not a problem with your gun

Sent from my iPhone... which probably auto-corrected something wrong
