I am waiting on my CPL to come in. In the meanwhile I have decided to get a snubby for pocket carry (Ruger LCR) and was going to carry my G19 either IWB or OWB. I did look at a G26 but it printed too much for pants pocket. In Michigan we are always wearing some kind of jacket, so pocket made sense for casual carry as well.

That being said, a G19 and Ruger seems like a lot of firepower to keep track of. How many of you guys carry two guns CCW? What are your gun combinations and how are they carried?

Sorry about all the questions, but this place is ALWAYS my starting point for knowledge gain. Thanks for any replies.

I don't carry 2 very often but when I do it's the exact same setup you mention. I pocket carry my LCR and carry my G19 or G26 in either a OWB or IWB holster.

If you can find a good OWB holster that conceals nicely I would recommend that over IWB. It will be much more comfortable.

If you wear a jacket all the time the G19 will be my first choice.
Here in sunny FL I do pocket carry my G26 every day with khakis or shorts during the week end!

My bud just got a LC9 which I like. It would be good for pocket carry; it's a 9mm which beats a .380, and it's very small and light. I didn't enjoy my test-shooting of it, 'cause it hurt and has an extremely long trigger pul before letoff, but would be fine as a BUG. I carry my G36, G19 or Walther PPS.

You got that right. Why would you need another gun, it might screaming up concentration thinking about which one to pull out.

I had an LCR for pocket carry. I found that I didn't really care for pocket carry. I keep my phone in one pocket and keys in the other. I'm not one who likes a belt holster for my phone. I figured if I was gonna go IWB, it would be a Glock.

i typically carry my LCR alone, every day, usually on my belt, but in my pocket sometimes, especially on the summer.
if i do go with two guns, it is the same combo you mentioned (LCR and G19).

i carry OWB with no problem... and can't stand IWB.

i would carry the G19 on my belt, and the LCR in my pocket. but, again, this is rare. 99% of the time it's the LCR and a spare quick strip or two.

That's from The Wilderness, due a search for gun belts on the carry issues sub forum and you'll see a million great reviews. The one pictured is the Frequent Flier CSM 1.5''.

Midwayusa and brownells both stock them as well.

I don't usually carry two guns, but when I do it's something similar to the OP's planned carry. A G23 goes OWB at 3:30, and a snub that I can conceal in any number of ways.

But the majority of the time, it's one or the other. Neither of them has ever malfunctioned, and one or the other usually fills my daily carry needs pretty well.

My EDC includes a G19 or a SW642, but I'm thinking seriously about adding a LCP as a BUG to carry as well.

Most of the time my primary CCW is either a Springfield 1911 and two spare mags or Glock 19 with on spare mag.

My back up gun is either a S&W 642 or Kel - Tec P3AT. Also I carry a Benchmade Axis 710.

If I carry two it is usually because one of my kids is with me that can't CCW. So for example we are going hicking of fishing. They all know how to shoot so if a situation arises we can all be armed.

Other times if I do happen to carry two, my second is usually a mouse pocket gun which most of the time is a .22 mag [cause I've had it almost 30 yrs] in the pocket and G19 or P-64 in IWB.

I am seriously considering getting a Kel-Tec P32 for a new mouse gun. Those .32 rnd nose have decent penetration and tumble after entering.

I very rarely carry a spare mag with my G19, however if carrying my P-64 I'll carry a spare mag or my mouse pocket gun.
