Wow! That's a new serial number prefix. There must be a lot of these.

I guess time will tell as to whether these are FBI overruns or Glocks capitalizing on consumer interest in law enforcement type weapons? Wondering if the 19m and 47 will follow in a consumer based example.

    19M and 47, I’d buy a pair of each.

On the 17M, these serial numbers are older and the front dust cover is not beveled to match the slide. I can’t imagine these are current production. My issued 17 gen5 was purchased new last year, does have the beveled front frame to match the slide and has a serial number of BLNK***. It makes me wonder if these are older 17M that Lipsey’s somehow acquired. Lipsey’s is damn good at getting specials/ runs out of Glock.

The 17 M I bought from a Glock employee has the same prefix and he bought it from Glk way before these came out . I got the first one for a good bit less than some of the other M guns I was bidding on from time to time glad now I lost the bid on one or two by 25 bucks . I was up around 1400 to 1500.

They are just Lipsey's exclusives, ordered with FBI features, no over runs. I called them the other day.

Fondled one today at LGS. SN BENT101. Greenish internals, 30274 ejector, no breech face cut. New production using up old slides and frames?

That is no different than saying the IMPD ordered exclusives with FBI features. One of my mates works for IMPD and his looks identical to my 17M. IMPD did not order their 17s with NDLC coating on the internals either.

So I guess everyone (IMPD, Glock employees, Lipsey) has FBI features except the FBI...

I think that the most distinguishing feature of the FBI guns is the fact that they actually do have DLC coated internals. It would seem that they are the only ones that ordered them that way. Whether the guns at any other three-letter agencies have them or not I do not know.

    Love the littletank reference!!!!

They definitely didn't read much of this thread indeed. It's funny to see the DLC references alongside of pics of very clearly non-DLC internals!

Don't shoot the messenger, none of this is my opinion, rather what Lipsey's told me over the phone. Yes, he said features.

Theses appear to be selling well. I’m thinking a 19M will be available soon.

    Mine is BENS89X
Is it my imagination or do some of the internal parts look blueish? IMG_1983.JPG IMG_1987.JPG

The DLC coated internals are black. They're very distinctive they are absolutely black.
