Went out a few days ago to the range to practice with my G17 before my upcoming IDPA match.

Fired 430 rounds of 115gr. WWB.

Not one FTF or FTE.

Half way through my session it began to downpour..DAMN! But I continued on anyway and still my G17 fired well without one hiccup.

This G17 was worth every penny I invested.

Congrats. Pick up my OD G17 Thursday, and can't wait. Did you have issues with the grip in the rain? Many have told me the polymer gets slippery when wet, and that the decal grips would be a good investment.

I've never had any problems shooting my G17's in the rain. Of course adding tape, slip on's, wearing gloves, etc. can improve your grip...I suppose. I've never added or used any of those things with my Glocks.

Of course living where it rarely rains helps a lot:supergrin:

Believe it or not I use bike tubing cut to fit. Pre-manufactured rubber grips don't hold up long for me. The bike tubing stays good for a much longer time.
