I'm proud to say that I've met the man, and spent several hours with him (and several of his aides).

    He is a great conversationalist.

From 1992, in the range booth, at my sportsman's club -

What makes this felon who tried to subvert the electoral process a 'great American'?

Mr. Detectorist, Feloniously subverting the electoral process is what goes on every election. He is the prototype of the American activist.

What he did wasn't right, but he never ratted anyone else out to make his own sentence lighter. I can respect him for falling on his sword.

I'm not saying I agree with his original actions, though. To think, this was all brought about by an attempt to steal some nude pics of someone.

He was and still is a amazing debater and logical thinker.
He would have guests on of different ideology's and political bents
to discuss ideas . He always held his own and with respect and
well mannered treatment of his guests.

Were you even alive during Watergate?

Yes, the man was convicted of "conspiracy to commit burglary of an unoccupied structure". And, that only because he refused to name the others.

It was not right, but I hold the crime just above spitting on the sidewalk.

I have met him too, and he is a great American.

Damn, I thought he retired years ago. I haven't heard him on a local station for 10+ years and that included Kansas, South Carolina and California. Where was he aired?

He was very entertaining. I respect him for not ratting anyone out. He IS history.

    hopefully, on your ignore list
That he did it to democrats.

They were actually looking for evidence of nefarious and illegal activities. IIRC, a prostitution ring the dems were running.

    Ha!!!!!!!!!
No, just don't put my 'mug' on the 'net, for occupational reasons.

Or, as my wife would say, "don't let anyone see the 'stoopid' expression on your face!"

Havnt heard him in years. I was a big listener back in the early 2000. I think his popularity peaked with 9/11. He came out with the "war edition" and radio sign ups soared. Then he fell off in popularity. Kurt Hamblin, the black avenger, also went out about that time.

He was a very smart man. I liked listening to him but at times he lost my attention.

When Rush retires, I have no idea who will fill the gap. His subsitutes are not very good. Mike Savage is pretty good but he is about ready to retire him self.

I have g liddy in a pic standing by his corvette. ITs signed by g liddy and hanging in my shop....

Didn't he have a saying that goes something like:

"moral authority deployed against a panzer division will get you run over by a panzer division"

It may be something just made up, I can't seem to find anything using my very poor googlefu.

Didn't he once famously advise to "shoot for the crotch" ?

I've also LOL'd at his rants about prison guards.
