FYI the Lakeland, FL big two room show is coming April 21/22 at the Lakeland Center
very large civic center type rooms...
I hope it's a great show.
because I predict ....
I'll be there!
Look for me and say hello!
I'll be the guy wearing my underwear on the outside of my clothes!
x 1 on the thread being moved !!!
It is a very big show. I always look forward to twice a year. I'm comin' home with somethin' this time though!
It is a great show, it is also on the same weekend as the Suncoast gun show at the fairgrounds in Tampa. But I will also be at the Lakeland show------much better then the Suncoast!!
Has anyone been to the Orlando fairgrounds show? How would you rate the Lakeland show to that?
Its bigger and tends to have much larger classic collectors, this show brings out people who don't go to other (Suncoast or Classic)
The Orlando show is two rooms but the one room is small...personally the lakeland center is a better show...
you will see more classic guns at this lakeland show
show is lised in the left hand sidebar, but no details when clicked...
So is it worth a 2+ hour drive from Citrus County, $6 admission and $5 parking?
I've been fairly disappointed in all the shows I've been to the last few months and wouldn't mind a long drive to a GOOD show.
I've been carrying a small 9mm around with me while travelling to use as trading fodder, but haven't taken it out of the box once...just haven't seen anything that caught my interest.
Well this show brings out the collectors, lots of 1911's and military guns (more p38's p08's, nambus etc) Single Action Army's etc this show has the most unique stuff and standard stuff, if your going to drive from Citrus county this is the show to do it for....
Will you be disappointed? Maybe but its worth a look...this show is put on by the Lakeland Rifle and Pistol Club http://www.lrpc.org/
it used to be the premier show in the state, it still maybe considering where gun shows have gone...
Sounds like it might be worth a trip, especially if it attracts dealers.
A good mix of collectors and dealers makes for a good show.
Thanks for the info.
Those dates put it right in the middle of Sun-n-Fun in Lakeland... Be prepared for a bunch of traffic!
You just got to know the backroads
The Lakeland show is the Mecca of gun show's in Florida.
