Must suck to be poor.....Cut the filter then rig something to seal the end. My filter fits but I had to use a piece of channel and some duct tape to seal the end.
:tongueout:

Exactly what I’d do.What would I do? I would have a ducting contractor modify the ductwork to install a proper filter rack.
but then, that's just me. I don't want to be cutting a finger changing filters or fighting with it every few months when I change filters.
The $59.34 price is for 6 filters. I almost missed that.
I just did the Google search for the OP and found many listings. I just grabbed the one that listed the necessary filter size. FilterBuy was at the top of the list. I didn't even check prices. lolThe $59.34 price is for 6 filters. I almost missed that.
I've used FilterBuy before and will again.
Furnace has nothing to do with what size air filters are needed, in this case. That is a function of the duct parts that are assembled and attached to the furnace. But I am guessing that this is sarcasm since you are suggesting a $2-4G repair for a non-problem.* 16 x 22 air filters are a common size filter, and it is my take that the local supplier that OP had visited initially is the issue. Me, I am so over local suppliers not carrying common items or not willing to stock their shelves and bins. If I can’t buy what I want in 1 or 2 attempts then I have no issue with buying it online. I would rather support the locally owned small businesses, but they are getting harder to find, and I don’t feel that I owe any big box store anything. They get 1 chance only.I would scrap the furnace and replace it with one that uses the most common filter you can buy locally.:clown:
Did you really have to guess? But I am guessing that this is sarcasm since you are suggesting a $2-4G repair for a non-problem.
It's called that, but it's not what it's for. Don't use it on ducts.
I was trying to be nice, SCREW THAT!Did you really have to guess?
Did you have allergies before buying the Whole pet store? What I would do?
I have Allergies, 6 cats and 2 dogs.
I vacuum the house twice a week.
I buy the best 3M filter I can which is the proper size.
Allergies suck.
