Some people refer to District Attorneys as “top Cops”. I’m not sure why.
I have always been mystified why A.G.s are called “TopCop”. They aren’t cops. I don’t think they have the power of arrest. Never walked a beat (yes, I’m that old), never made a felony pinch, worked patrol or UC, none of it.
