ok me and the wife were running into town to get some lumber , i stopped by my uncles store to get gas and he was outside talking to state trooper, the troopers stop and hang out there . anyway
i use my debit card and get back in truck so we get half mile down road and i see blue lights :wow:

so im wondering WTF !! so i pulled over in church parking lot and my wife was like you were not speeding and i said nope.

so im now fidgeting for my wallet , i was wearing cargo shorts and checking pockets and the officer walks up and i put the window down , and i hear " license and registration please" and im talking while im looking in truck , then as i turn my head and said " cant find my wallet " i saw trooper smiling and he whipped out my wallet
even funnier - hes a friend of mine from high school  , he was laughing ass off and said he saw me drop it and i drove off . his mom and my mom are best friends . i told him not to tell his mom :rofl:

but it was funny . wife laughed her ass off to grrrrrrr:rofl:

now i know his mom will tell mine . small towns lol

apparently hes stationed back here in our district , which is cool .

I miss stuff like that back home; dad was the police chief and all my friends were cops... Good times...

This will not be an authentic GNG thread until the locals come out of the woodwork and start ranting about how your civil rights were violated because the cop had no legal justification for pulling you over.

I mean, think about it, what crime did you commit? The cop activated his lights and conducted a traffic stop on you, with absolutely no P.C. whatsoever, let alone reasonable suspicion. You were legally detained against your will, despite the police having no cause to detain you. The absolute first thing you should do is contact the officer's agency and file a formal complaint. Then, you need to contact a lawyer and file a federal civil rights lawsuit against the officer, the agency, and the city. If the officer had the gall to do this to a law abiding citizen like you, then just imagine how many other times he has done it. There needs to be a federal investigation of the officer and the department to determine the actual extent of these injustices. That officer is lucky it wasn't ME that he pulled that stunt on... I will NOT stand idly by while a fascist tyrant violates my Constitutional rights, and I will use whatever means necessary to defend myself.

In Texas, if we'd get in trouble in town after school, our parents knew about it before we got home.

There are plenty of good cops. I had a similar experience but not by an old friend.

Years ago (1957) I was in central Florida visiting friends and left to go back to Charleston, SC. About an hour into our trip back, I got stopped by a Florida HP/trooper. He returned my billfold that I had forgotten at the home we were visiting. He actually chased after me all that time to return it.

Good cops are one of the good things about the US.

All that matters is that the trooper went home safely at the end of his shift.

I think there was a good PC that he was driving without a license since the kind LEO had the guy's wallet in his hand. Should have proned him out!

Did the trooper empty all the contents of your wallet and hand them to you separately, and then tell you you can't reload until he was gone? Seems like all the stories I hear on GT have that happen :whistling:
