So.. Looking for a nice "full head" on set of headphones. Not sure how else to describe it.

I know, this may be old school, but when wife goes to bed I like to watch some sports and crank the tunes and want full sound.

Not a fan of buds and have a few small "muff" units, sound ok but....

Looked at Bose quickly and saw like 200 and up. Is there nothing cheaper that sounds good? I know they do noise canceling and such..don't care abut that.

Actually listening to War Pigs and watching the Bears as I type.....

Check out the Turtle Beach wireless headphones. They're mostly used for gaming but they work well for watching TV too. I can use mine while I'm on the treadmill and the TV is on. The sound quality is very nice. I would say they rival my Bose on ear headphones. Just a little less bass than the Bose. They sell them at Gamestop and I think the wireless ones are around $100.

My coworker who is into headphones, i.e. $2,000 headphones custom molded to his ear canal with a $500 amplifier, etc recommended these to me as inexpensive options...

I have these and I really like them. Sound quality meets my expectations and they are no so expensive I would cry if I broke them.

You are looking for Circumaural headphones, meaning over the ear headphones as opposed to Supra-aural phones which sit on the ear. I have AKG K271 MKII phones and they sound awesome, Sennheiser also makes top notch phones, I would however stay away from Beats by Dr. Dre they are way over priced and they aren't junk but they aren't the best though:thumbsup:

Both good phones, I like Sennheiser better though:thumbsup:

I also have the Sennheiser HD201 and I love them. Like range muffs with great speakers built in.
