Friends in low places at Glock inform me that full capacity magazines WILL be sold at the upcoming Atlanta GSSF match. Whether these will be LE-marked or new unmarked imports, or some combination of both, is unknown at this time. Price will be $25 including tax.

I picked up 10 used G17 standard caps for $11.00 dollars a piece, S&H included. Lonewolf is also selling new mags for $20.00 a piece, but you have to wait for shipping.

If instant gratification is your thing, by all means buy at the GSSF match, but if you have some patience, cheaper mags can be found.

Anybody have any word on whether these are LEO mags, or plain unclintonized nonscribbled on marked mags, the way Gaston intended them to be?

I asked Chris Edwards (of Glock/GSSF) about that when I saw him at the the USPSA Nationals. He said that Glock was having to jump thru hoops to bring in new mags, so they just planned to sell off their supply of LEO mags until the new ones made it in.

    Thanks Flex!

I think I'll wait until Ivanhoe's gets regular non-marked mags back in stock.

Anybody wanna buy five G21 used LE marked mags from me at the Conyers match? They look pretty new, with a little bit of wear, but the lips and mag catchs are perfect. I'll probably be there Sunday. If anyone is interested, pm me and we'll wheel and deal!

This is continuing good news. The dealer at Hallsville had 'em all weekend for $20 & I understand some went for $10 early Saturday. ^c

Are standard caps allowed at GSSF matches or do you have to bring ten rounders?

Yes, they are allowed, but you may only load the following:

    5TG, 10 rounds per mag.
    M, 11 rounds per mag.
    Plates, 11 rounds per mag.

I hate to contradict Danny but I will lose my Range Nazi secret decoder ring if I don't ..... The rules are only 10 rounds in the mag and 1 round in the pipe for all course of fire. The rules for plates off the web site read:

Loaded Round Capacity: For each string of fire, competitors may load one (1) round in the chamber and ten (10) (six (6) MSC) rounds in the magazine for a total of eleven (11) (seven (7)/MSC) rounds loaded in the firearm. Competitor may load fewer than eleven (seven/MSC) rounds if the competitor wishes, but that is not recommended.

See you at Conyers - I think I'm shooting and ROing Saturday.

    True, but:

    1. you may only fire 10 rounds per string in the 5TG. There is a procedural penalty for firing an eleventh round.

    2. you may only fire two rounds per D-1 in the M, leaving 3 rounds to hit 1 and only 1 popper.

    3. you may load and fire up to 11 rounds per string at the Plates.

There are two ways to load 11 rounds: use a hi-capacity mag or use a stripper mag for the first round. I use 10-round mags on the 5TG and hi-caps on the other two stages.

I've always loaded 11 rounds for every stage. I was under the impression that 11 was allowed on 5 to Glock in case the shooter experienced a malfunction of some sort.

The 11th round can be loaded for 2 purposes ONLY. (1) In case you have to clear a malf and in so doing, dump a live round on the ground you can still get off all 10 shots. (2) When you have completed a string, you still have a live round in the chamber so all you have to do is insert another 10 round mag and you are ready for your next string. This saves time for everybody.

Anyone know if Glock will be selling any USED standard capacity mags at the Conyers Match and for how much? Brand new is nice, but I'm a "used" kinda guy! I'm not cheap at all!!! ;f
