We have the chance to carry the 18s overseas.... no thanks.... but they're fun for the spray-and-pray

It is usually people who haven't shot them.

    I have shot the G18.

It is not "pray and spray".

    They are quite controllable.

Everybody has an openion and a place where they sit...
I am not a fan of the 9MM round, which the Glock 18 is.
If they were to be made available to the public, I would love to put up with the slowness of a fully Automatic.45 ACP.

Me too, but still novel, and no I don't hate G18's. Actually that's the first I've ever seen of such a tool.

I was able to fire two 33 round mags through a true factory G18C!! Quite the experience indeed!! Definitely a lot more controllable than one might expect!!

Hmm, actually a .45 is just as fast as a 9mm. I shot my glock 30 in f/a and even the subcompact was very controllable.

Don't knock it until you try it.

What's that full-auto, long-stock, suppressed pistol thingie in the background?? BTW, full auto Glockers of any caliber don't have to ask "How many badguys are there?", but only "WHERE are the badguys?"

Its a Sten gun. Not a supressor, just a heat shield around the barrel.

If you watch the video close enough you will see that it is not a G18. It has the switch thing on the back.

This might be the accessory used.

Looks like fun though, but I would need a second job just to keep it fed!

It makes me laugh sometimes. Every time there is a thread about the G18 there are always a bunch of guys who jump on and say how they aren't practical and why would you want one and all the rest...

    What's the difference?

A G17 is basically the same gun on semi-auto instead of the full auto capability. Is a G17 impractical? does a G17 suffer from any in-accuracies? Flicking the switch to full auto doesn't change that much.

If you have a G18 and need controlled shots then use semi-auto (like you would with a rifle) but if you need firepower without the risk of hitting any civvies then flick on the fun switch and have at it.

Personally i think the G18 would be a great thing but would spend most of it's time on semi-auto, except those times when you want to have fun or need to lay down some suppresive fire on someone in a defensive role.

I am not a huge fan of GLOCK's

Still shoot em though. Come on now, any excuse to go shooting is a good excuse.

    Glock 18=gooooood excuse!.
