i'm looking for a good user friendly ftp client. i've had cuteftp and wsftp. these are okay, perhaps there are smaller and better clients.
    what do you use?

I use SecureFx, not free, but worth the price for it.

    SecureFX

I also use SecureCRT as my ssh client/telnet client.

I've been very happy with SmartFTP. Been using it for a couple years. Easy interface, haven't come across any jobs that it couldn't handle.

Ditto. Love LeechFTP. Just make sure to turn of the feature that checks for updates to avoid annoying errors since it'not a current product any longer. :(

    FlashFXP

sometimes I use CuteFTP Pro 6. I don't like the non-pro versions of CuteFTP. If you've only tried the non-pro version, I'd recommend Pro, but I'd recommend FlashFXP before that.

After 30 days does FlashFXP become useless, or does it just continue popping up the 'register me!!!' window?

Another vote for a command-line ftp (whatever OS). It's quick, simple, and it works.

I like PuTTY's ftp client. It lets you connect to both regular ftp sites and one that use ssh. PLus it is less than 250KB. Just go to google and search for putty to find it. The link will discuss the telnet/ssh client.

(I also like just using the command line ftp and sftp but sounds like you are looking for something else)
