For sale custom Para/Colt 1911. The gun has a hi cap Para receiver (holds 14 rounds) with a Colt Custom Shop slide. The Colt slide is marked 1 of 1000 on the right side and Colt Custom on the left. The gun was originally built by a Colt employee. Upon his retirement from Colt he worked at a local gun shop. When he could no longer work due to advancing age he consigned some of his guns to the shop. I purchased the gun from the shop. I had Jo Jo's Gun Shop put in a Clark barrel, their own custom barrel bushing, Ed Brown extended safety, fiber optic front sight as well as polishing and fitting internals and a new recoil spring. Jo Jo's is in Connecticut and builds guns for CT native Dave Sevigny. The rear sight is a Bomar. I don't know details of all the custom parts but it also has an extended mag release, custom hammer and grip safety. The trigger is custom and also has been worked and is crisp and light. It currently has Hogue grips but also comes with the original grips. I also have the original Colt barrel that shoots as well as the Clark barrel. The gun runs flawlessly and is very accurate. It comes with 4 14 round mags.

I was going to use it for IDPA type competitions at my club but decided it was too nice to abuse.

Looking for $800. I'm not interested in handgun or rifle trades but would consider a Dillion SL 900 shotshell reloader or a Browning 410 pump shotgun.

Aluminum or alloy frame, it's not steel; non ramped barrel. Thanks for the interest.
