Just wondering about using red loctite on a front sight install for a glock. I assume that a front FO sight doesn't really like heat (if you need to break the bond). Does a soldering iron on the front sight nut heat it up enough to melt the loctite if you need to remove the front sight?

    or any other suggestions?

    You should be fine.

Just apply a small amount of Loctite to thoroughly cleaned and dried (including fingers) contact points and tighten.

I generally tighten no more than 1/4 - 1/2 turn past finger tight, making sure the final adjustment is a tightening one.

    Let sit 24-hours.

Using red or blue Loctite, I've never had a front sight come loose.

Yes, a soldering iron held momentarily on the nut will break the bond.

What brand of FO is it?

I use Blue on pistols that I shoot for fun.
I use Red on duty and defense pistols.
