    Just need some advice.
Took my ADJ Meps off and when it came to front sight got a bit shocked!
Below the place where the FS had been all the black Glock finish is gone. Seems that blueing of the MEPS reacts with the Glock finish.
Before I want the new FS I want to look for a solution to give the reciever at that spot a black finish again.

Could a cold blueing agent help a bit?

    Regards
    Doc

    Doc Holiday,
I can say this you can do that but do have any experience using cold bluing.

I use a .99cent BLACK Sharpie,It really works.Every once and while I'll touch it up with it on some spots.:)

    Doc,

In my experience, it's not the finish on the bottom of the sight that does it - it's the Lok-Tite the armourer used to secure the little bitty screw.

Cold blue is just that - blue. Your slide is black.

Since the black oxide finsh is for cosmetics only (the Tennifer underneath is the rust protection) I'd use a Sharpie on the area and then just mount the new sight and be happy.

    Hope this helps.

We can re-finis the slide for you several different ways but I would not worry about it. Your gun is no less durable becuase of the wear mark.

One thing, if its under the front sight, what does it matter?
