G/F got a new puppy and well it's a puppy, I've repeated this manta over and over this weekend.

Puppies chew things, toys, outdoor cushions, a lot, other stuff.

Today I looked out the window and there was something hanging from the puppies mouth. I ran outside grab her, the puppy and drug her over to the little pond, beating her until she let go of the frog. well it's a puppy, funny now but not so much at the time.

    well it's just a puppy

I beat the puppy to get the frog out of it's mouth. The puppy needs to learn not to eat the frogs.

Sorry but beating a puppy doesn't teach them anything.

I agree, it wasn't so much a beating more like spanking her until she let go of the frog.

I've had issues with my dogs getting tangled up with toads. As soon as I see them foaming at the mouth I hook up the spray nozzle to the hose and commence to flushing their mouths out. It's a pretty good deterrent for them to not do it again.

Funny. we have about 4 frogs in the pond and one brown toad that just wanders around the back yard. The puppy has licked the toad a couple of time but never taken a bite. Come to think of it I haven't seen that toad in days.
