OK... I'm a professional commercial photographer (Forby Fiev is my screen name...that's pronounced 4x5 as in PRO CAMERA) I have over 20 years real expierence.

I'm able and willing to give any advice needed regarding digital or analog photography. I also teach a college course in the same.

I just want glocker to have a place to go. Since GT has given me so much over the years, I want to give back.

I may not be able to answer some specific model questions because models change rapidly, but regarding the facts of photography, I can help.

Free advice number one: DON'T sell yourself cheap!! You can always lower your prices, but raising them is hard.

    Cool!

I just won an auction for an AE-1 last night so I may be full of questions as soon as it gets here...then when I get some real b/w film so I can do my own processing.

I shoot digital now but I am longing for the feel of b/w that digital just can't produce.

    You may regret this!

Forby, thanks for offering your help here.

How about an opinion on pro-sumer digital SLRs? Best bang for the buck?

I've always been a Canon fan and am leaning that way. But, Nikon and Olympus have some appeal.

    Thanks.

    Hi misskitty5077:

I'm sorry you feel that way. (just kidding)

I really like digital and our studio hasen't shot film for almost 2 years!!

Digital is more suited to production. Let me know if you have any queations.

I'm really a Canon fan too. We have 1dsMarkII's here and mostly L lenses.

I really don't keep up with the consumer market for digital cameras, however if you have a specific technical question, I can help.

    Personally, I'd buy Canon.

I am looking at it as more of a challange and to force myself to become reliant on *me* instead of technology.

And I will have fun too
