Other than here on GT, I really haven’t seen a massive change or drop in participation of fans at football events, or parties/sports bar attendance.

Probably why Fox is willing to spend the money......

Listen to a couple of guys on the hard right. Still talking about the sportsball, "Oh yeah, I'm real angy about the Take-Teh-Knee it's totally disrespectful to police. Did you see that onside kick the Falcons blew?"

I never watched unless I was visiting someone who does watch but none of my friends watch anymore - the game is dead to them!

    I'd rather go shooting!

Well come on. It's like asking Europe to give up soccer or Rugby because 2% of the players are skinheads.

That's a figurative point, by the way.

Like any large corporation leadership and vision starts at the top, Roger Goodall is a socialist IMO( also can be a twin for DeBlasio). His world view rolls down through the NFL and to me has ruined it with his BLM bs, kneeling bs and just all the other bs he is pushing. If advertisers are after the "coveted demographic", guess what? That demographic has a steeply declining population growth.

I understand Rupert Murdoch is turning Fox over to his kids. The youth is making decisions now maybe.

While not massive, it has been significant. I find it strange as there fewer other things to go do in person, so you you would think viewership would be up, like it is for Netflix, but it is not. That should be a message. With college football not playing nearly as much you would think the football fans would be starving for anything football on TV.

Viewership is down, not huge, but as stated significantly. And in the Covid world, it should be way up.

A friend of mine was on a waiting list for Green Bay Packers season tickets. Football fans know that is the hardest ticket to get, it's a religion up there. He was on the list for 17 years before he had an option to buy some, and the price was astronomical.

He said this year people are selling their season tickets. Things are changing.

TV viewership has been trending downwards for a couple years, and the current reports are right in line with that.

So they are paying more money for less eyes. Overall TV viewership doesn't matter for this. Only the eyes that it brings to these games and the shows around them. The fact that they have the NFL doesn't cause me to watch more or less of their comedies, or dramas. If they put good shows on, I would watch them, in spite of them having the NFL on.

This doesn't make sense because the Packers have not allowed fans in the stands yet this season. Also Packers season ticket holders have always sold tickets to games they don't attend. I sold tickets to two games last year because I couldn't make those games.

An actual season ticket could still be sold though, no? Whether you can attend this year or not? Just going by what my Wisconsin friend told me. He's very honest.

How can a ticket be sold when the Packers have not issued any tickets for this season yet?
