Does anybody know if the forend tube length is different on a mag express and a regular 870? Both12g of course.
    Thanks for your help.

What do you mean "mag express" and regular 870. If you mean Remington Express Magnum then it is simply a Remington Express and the word magnum means nothing as every Express ever built is built on a magnum receiver and the word is nothing but marketing. So the forends are the same as they are the same weapon.

Thanks aippi. The one I'm looking at is marked Super Mag SPS Fore End Assembly. And the gun it would be going on is an older Wingmaster. I wasn't sure if the mag receivers required longer action bars than a regular receiver. I appreciate your help.

That is different then Express Magnum. The Super Magnum is a 3.5" receiver. I am not sure of the difference in the forend tube assembly but it is a different part number so something is different. It may be longer and that creates an issue with the timing cuts so it will not work on a standard 870.

Thank you. That's what I figured.
