Thanks for sharing that.
Some of I already knew, but a lot of funny things that I did not!
I enjoyed the movie and the two related documentaries. my favorite part of the movie is in the early part where Shelby is tooling around in his Porsche.
I thought it was great. Probably the best movie I've seen all year. A lot better than most of the poo Hollywood churns out these days.
No way I could ever afford an original 1965 Cobra so we settled on a Shelby CSX continuation series model. Assembled in Shelby's Las Vegas facility. 427 stroked to 468, Tremec 5 speed with 3.54 ratio. Titled as a 1965 Shelby. Lots of fun.
watched it last night
You could get fiberglass or aluminum bodies on the continuation series. This one is fiberglass.
Il Commendatore, one of the biggest cheats and arrogant bastards in motorsports at the time. And used his influence to beat his competitors more than his engineers ever did. Many people accused Porsche of cheating and not adhering to the rules, when actually they went by the letter of the rule book, just not the spirit. Ferrari blantantly ignored the rules and very few people had the 'nads to stand up to him.
This is pretty awesome find with a 65 cobra..
When is this movie going to make it into the $5 dvd bin at Walmart? Probably never. But if it ever does, and someone sees it, will you please post a notification about that? I am getting tired of looking for it.
I’ve watched it several times. Liked it the first time. Every time I click by it I stop clicking. And I don’t even watch much television.
