You can help save, polar bears, kids in Africa, the ozone layer, every endangered species, the world.

Ever since Christmas I have been seeing all the commercials for organizations trying to save something. All of them want you to give $18 a month.

Why do all these organizations want $18. Where did they all come up with that number?

You can save ME for only $10.00 a month.

My favorite ones are the save abused animals. Hey I'm all for helping animals BUT I detest it when they show those pictures of abused animals with captions like, "Will I die today?" or "Why did they hurt me?"They put human emotions on animals to play our emotions to give. Bull****.

The Loch Ness Monster always wants Tree-Fiddy. Maybe there's a connection.

They take the cost of a cup of coffee per day and then make their number less than that. Did they not mention that in the commercial you saw? Most say something like that.

:soap:I find it humerous and aggravating that in this time of economical breakdown ( if thats what you want to call it) and everybodys Pi$$ ***** broke these places have the odasity to ask for $$$. Everywhere I go Gas Sta., Grocery Store, Bank! (Dingy blonde Look at my balance does it look like I have extra $$ to donate????) everytime I turn around would you like to, please contribute, gimme!!! :steamed:
I donate to 3 things (My time, fuel costs, and wear/tear on my body & family to the volly F.D. which in turn donates to Jerrys Kids, and numerous other entities As well as the community. A little extra $$ to Jerrys Kids when we do our Boot shakes, and to a local group of Easter Seals folks by driving through their Christmas light show 2 or 3 times between Thanksgiving and Christmas to help pay for lil tikes therapy. I do more than a fair share quit asking my for $$$$$$:soap:

Actually you can do all that for only 50 cents a month.
    $17.50 goes for "administrative costs".

You would be surprised some places actually respond faster to some folk's than others becuase of the amount they give Im not saying its right but it happens. So places place I Fire Protection tax on their areas and a computer tied into dispath on the truck tells the Officer of the truck wether that tax has been pd or not .... If it hasnt been pd then its up to the Dpet on wether they're going to respond or not:steamed::faint: I couldnt imagine leaving someone to harm because of a freaking tax pd or not
A couple weeks back we had a chimney fire at a house in a "higher end" neighborhood we got there did the deed, got finished, started packing up and we heard a voice say.. " I'm damned proud of you guys and I am glad to be this Depts. Atty. you guys did a wonderful job." :shocked:I thought Thank God we did have a cluster **** or else this would have been disaterous. No one knew who this guy was and didnt knew he was the Depts atty, no one had met him before that was onscene. We all got some good "atta boys" from the cheif. Thing was that address was treated no different that a trailer in the trailer parks we cover

I see more ads on TV now for saving pets than I do about saving kids in Africa. Did they save all the kids in Africa?
