I am running Windows XP and I have received a folder containing 306 fonts, a lot of them very good ones.
My problem is, some of them are apparently bad. I've weeded out enough of the offenders that my Adobe Illustrator will start up, but there are still fonts I select that lock up the program. I have installed almost 3,000 fonts previously and I know it isn't Illustrator causing the problem.
All fonts in this list appear normal, the file size looks right, you can get a Windows sample sheet for each one, they all have the True Type Logo, etc.
What I need is a method or small program that can sort out the good ones from the bad ones so I can delete them from the original folder and do a clean install.
Does anyone know of a method for testing/sorting out bad True Type Font files? Any help would be appreciated.
