Anyone go with foliage green furniture/mags?

I don't know if anyone other than Magpul used that color (does Magpul even make it still?), but I thought it might be cool for my next rifle.

I'm working on outfitting my Colt with foliage green.
It will match my newly acquired hog killer, a G20 in foliage green.

That could be sweet,.......not sure about stock choices though.

I think a FG 20" with the Magpul PRS would be cool.

Nice. What's your favorite load for that thus far?

I have an VLTOR EMOD stock in foliage green. It's actually my favorite collapsible stock, followed by the Magpul ACS and LMT SOPMOD.

Foliage green is an underrated color. It blends pretty well in the woods, but it has enough grey in it that it doesn't stick out like a sore thumb in an urban setting.

Great stock, but they are really, really heavy. That can be good or bad, depending on how it balances with the rest of the rifle.

Also, I've noticed that most people using PRS stocks don't actually make use of any of the adjustable surfaces, which makes it a very heavy, very expensive A1 stock, but it's your dough and your rifle, and only you know if the stock does or does not offer features you want or need.

    Good points.

I do want a little weight on the 20" - possibly with a bipod up front.

I would like to have options for cheek weld and LOP adjustments, but don't know how much its worth to me.

Cavalry Arms has an A1 sized fixed stock in FG for $25. Might start with that and see how it works for me.

I think you have to stick with one manufacturer for all of your parts, to keep the color constant.

I didn't follow this rule and got stuck with different shades of green. Sucks to have to return stuff.

    Is there that much variation?

Magpul has about everything, but they don't seem to make rifle length handguards.

Yep, I did for my BCM. I was just sick of seeing FDE.

For some reason my host won't load for me right now. Mine's pic #1557 in the AR pic thread.

FG is what I'm working on for my Bushy. Not going to start the renovation till I have everything, though. Hopefully have it done by end of summer timeframe. Mostly MagPul stuff, as its very reasonably priced, practical, and durable.

    Cool.

I'll have to find some to play with and see how they feel.
