Anybody know what the seals you find on many liquor bottles are made from. I suspect tin or aluminum, but I don't know.

If they are tin, are they suitable for alloying bullet metal when casting bullets? If they are aluminum, are they suitable for recycling? Or could they be made of some other substance?

    Just curious.

The foil seal is typically made of aluminum.

Older (really old) ones were made from lead.
