I have a Jackson js1 with a normal trem on it and I want to get a floyd for it but are they worth the price tag and the to get my guitar routed for it? And are the floyd rose trems better then what is on it now?

I don't think it makes sense cost wise. It would probably cost more than the guitar is worth.

A floyd rose locking is a pain to set up and change strings.
I own two Ibanez with locking trems.

But if you really want one, go for it.

If you're gonna play live - have a backup guitar or two ready to go if you bust a string.

Floyd Roses are sweet but like Soujurn said they're a pain to change strings
