Do any of you use flight simulator programs for your computers? Which ones do you like the best?

I have all three of the Microsoft combat flight simulators, 3 has been the most fun so far, but I enjoyed all of them. I have also flown the Ubisoft IL2 Sturmovik simulator. I never could get the hang of some of the jet simulators though, to much to control, I was always crashing.

If you are a real systems geek (like me) then you should check out the 747-400 sim from Aerowinx. It's low on graphics and terrain mapping but HIGH on systems. Apparently it duplicates about 90% of the whale's systems accurately. It is a great learning tool and a lot of fun. You can program total system failures or just minor stuff. The downside is that it's not cheap.

    Here is their website.

I have FS2004. Before that, it was FS2002, 2000 and 95 (98?). 2004 is pretty darned good. I like the J-3 the best, and the Cessnas are good enough for me. My main purpose in it is for navigation simulation. I don't spend much time on it, but plan to work on it a lot more. The ATC voice is too slow - even student pilots speak quicker! I also don't like how it calls airports by the identifiers (Kilo-Whiskey-Victor-India), rather than the name. Maybe with FS2006 or some kind of patch. Also, the helicopter flight model stinks, but I assume some kind of fix will be developed for that, too.
