I was recently having problems with another 1911 using cheap springfield GI style mags.

Switch to Novak's ACT-MAG and things have run smooth as silk ever since. It's amazing what a difference a quality mag can make. Good to hear your Kimber is running well.

That's great okie. I was hoping that the only problem was the JUNK Kimber mag. The only thing my Kimber mags have been good for is practicing failure drills. :okie:

My 1st Kimber came with an Italian made mag and works perfect, the follower is not a thin tab, but is plated and actually goes down into the tube in front of the mag and prevents the follower from moving forward and binding. Wish I had more of them. My CDP has an iffy mag. Good thing they're both compacts:cool:

I had a Kimber Classic stainless that I bought in like 98 or 99. The Kimber mags for it went bang every time also. I don't know if I was just lucky then or if Kimber got junk mags since then:headscratch: :dunno:
