I have a gen 4 Glock 22 PHX8xx Had it for a while and has been good to go 2000 rounds maybe. If I use old G22 mags I get jams with it . They have 1028 on follower and some look like a little number 6 . Are these the problem year mags ?? What number are the good ones some have a 9

I've got 5,6,9's and no issues. Have you inspected those mags for weak springs? Might be shot.

I think Red 2 Rider nailed it as I have used 5,6,8 and 9 with no problems, when I replace magazine springs I choose Wolff +10 percent.

#. 5 was the LEO std. from 1994 era and #.9 is the latest follower . SJ 40

I bought a couple of dozen police turn in mags for a buck a piece. Four of them were not reliable. Next time when driving thru the Atlanta area I stopped by Glock. Dropped off all two dozen mags and a police turn in G17 with a cracked frame. Couple of hours later I walked out with new springs and followers in all the mags and a rebuilt G17. Total cost to me, zero.

I think the newest followers that I have are #8s, though I haven't bought new mags in a couple years. Some followers are specific to certain generation of magazine, like #5s and #6s are for different bodies.

I have old mags with #2 followers that work fine in my G22/gen4. I would bet replacing the springs will solve your problem.
