The family and I are considering places to move, and flagstaff has come up. The area looks beautiful but does anyone live there? Looking for honest opinions, I've read mixed stuff from google

    Why did it come up?

    What are you looking for?

    Where are you moving from?

I like Flagstaff to visit to get out of the valley. for a day or two Last time I was there, it was overcrowded. Full of liberals now. Just my opinion.

Housing is expensive, at least for a former civil servant like me.

Most all of my family lives in Phoenix and one of my cousins lives in Flagstaff. They love it there. I have been out there countless times and I like it there.

Liberals.. you have to expect that in any College town.

Flag is actually quite nice.. and you get to live in a gun friendly State.

Personally, I prefer Phoenix.. more choices for food, culture and people.. but we also have a ton of dry heat :animlol:

You don't want to be in Sedona now! I drive all the way down 17 to bypass that horrid place. On a good day traffic will be backed up from there half the way to Flag.

Stay away from Phoenix then. I hate that place in the summer due to the horrible heat. Flagstaff is a much better choice.

I interviewed in Flagstaff and wish I had gotten the job! Real nice place. Couple of things to note: outdoor lighting is severely restricted there due to the observatory, so you can't light up the outside of your house. Also, it is at a high altitude and the air is very dry, so you will need saline nasal spray and humidifiers for a while.

I have been there quite a few times and like it. Seems to have grown a lot recently.

Flag is nothing like Phoenix. I live about 2 hours from flag and my GF is in flag so I am there a lot. It's a great place. Lots of outdoor activities. Small but not too small. Rated one of the best places to live. Real estate is pricey.

The other area we're looking at is seattle area. So in flag the prices are much improved :p

Flagstaff is bad to live here, but a good stop over for your travels ...
