I am about to purchase a all species liscense for the state of michigan. I'm looking at it online right now and it says "begin/end sales date" of 3/1/2005 to 2/28/2006 and then it says "begin end/season date" of 3/1/2005 to 3/31/2006. Does this mean that if i buy a license right now that it will only be good for 3 months? I thought licenses were good for a year.

    YEP!
March 1st is the start of the new license. If you buy one now it will be "out of date" 3/31/06.
They are good for a year when you get it in the beginning!!

The way I remember is April fools day "4/1" you need the new license.

You must be looking to do some steel head fishing.

    Good Luck from Flint!
