Anyone carry one EDC? I'm contemplating one due to the fact that I always seem to need a pen when I don't have one handy.

What say? Worth the $26 or so?

Also, Matte Black or Chrome finish? I like both :whistling:

You can get them a bit cheaper... shop aroung on the web.

I have a Trekker which I hang around my neck and a couple of bullet pens in my tool bag. Use them daily, no fails in years.

Gave up on the cheapie pens because I always lost them or they started skipping and blobbing... or went dry!

+1 on any of the space pens, plain or fancy...

Ronaldo - my space pen is mightier than your Schaeffer sword...

I have been carrying a Fisher bullet for years tucked away in the fold of my front pocket wallet.

Mine has a pocket clip (which is now superglued to the pen/mandatory mod in my opinion) and I cut a small slit in the leather in the wallet. Now, the clip part goes in that slit and the pen doesn't stick out on either end of the wallet. If I were at home, I'd post a pic...maybe later I can.

And you can find the Fisher Xmark bullet pen significantly cheaper than 30.00. I buy most of my stuff from cyberspacepens on the bay. I think I gave 15.00 shipped for my son's Xmark in chrome finish.

I also carry a Fisher AG7 pen at work and love that pen more than the bullet. But for EDC, the bullet is just right.

Cyberspacepens has the refills a bit cheaper too at 12-13 dollars for three....any color any point width (or they did a few months back).

Go to Office Depot and get it for around $20. I have the black one, took the pocket clip off and carry it in the little watch pocket thingy on my jeans everyday. You'd be surprised just how much use it does get. Very handy.

If you don't mind spending some cash, you could get a Tuff-writer for around $80. It comes with a Fisher pen insert and it's made from a nice hunk of machined metal. I've gotten in the habit of carrying one in my left front pocket and it's been almost as eye-openingly useful as the day I started carrying a pocket knife!

$26 doesn't sound right....I think they run around $10....the wife bought me a couple because they fit perfectly in the ACU pen pockets without stabbing you and I've used them every since, and continued to do so after retirement..

Like a few other guys here I carry a Fisher bullet pen with me at all times and use it frequently. I bought a few of the black ones at a PX for $15.

For those of you that own one, how's the finish holding up to daily use? Both chrome and matte black.

My matte black pen's finish is holding up pretty well. It doesn't scratch easily, even when I keep it in my bag with a few other pens and things. If you look carefully you can see a small light spot where the cap attaches to the rear of the pen while you are using it. That is one of the things I considered before I bought it, but I'm glad I went with the black because the chrome is just a bit too flashy for me.

    How about this Fisher Pen?

Just Released! The Cap for this exciting new Space Pen model is an actual .375 H & H Mag Shell. What a special gift for the hunter or outdoors enthusiast. Inside is a laquered Brass Bullet Space Pen.

When closed, Bullet Space Pens are the perfect size to carry in your wallet, pocket, purse, car glove box, organizer or toolbox. When open it's a full sized, evenly balanced writing instrument.

The original Bullet Space Pen was conceived in July of 1948, Paul Fisher was soon machining a new pen design shaped from solid aluminum. It became our first Fisher ball point pen, the 400 Bullet Pen, and arguably the most popular pen of the twentieth century. This pen is now all brass with a raw Brass finish.

Cited as an outstanding example of industrial art, the classic design of the Fisher Bullet Pen has been exhibited for years in the New York Museum of Modern Art. The Bullet's timeless styling has been the topic of many art books and magazine articles. Often imitated but never duplicated, the Fisher Bullet continues to be our most popular pen.

I have been carrying this pen for about 6 months. In pocket with keys and knife. I did not expect the finish to hold but it still looks good. This pen has a stylus on one end that I that I use on my touch screen cell phone.

I've had my chrome bullet for years. No marring of the finish.

The only thing I DON'T absolutely LOVE about this pen, is that the ink smudges a bit.

Other than that, the finest pen I own.
