No spending cuts. The Republican's cave again. The spending cuts will be looked at down the road. The long and winding never ending road.

This is just pretty lights and tinsel. At this point, I'm all for leaping off the fiscal cliff until comprehensive deficit reduction can be accomplished. It's time that every American pays the true cost of government and their subsidized milk and gas, too. We have a standing army that's too darn large, tax laws that discourage savings and investment, and an American legal minefield that few can navigate. The entire system is a mess and I blame both political parties.

The left wing democrats are in full celebration mode. The republicans do not look good at all.

    What I read:

Some tax increases (60 bill /yr)
Everything else postponed for two months

So nothing solved, both sides just agreed to put it off for another 60 days.

They need time to work loopholes into the cuts so Congress doesn't feel any of the pain of the common citizen. Given themselves gold plated healthcare, great retirement benefits, and many are in the mythical "job creators" category. Still don't know how they kept a strait face talking about "job creators" when unemployment was so high. Think we need a term limits amendment, IMHO.

But wait, there's more! When Big O said that if we went over the fiscal cliff he couldn't promise that the military and social security would be paid. He forgot to mention that he and Congress would get paid no matter what!

    AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARGH!

We have not avoided the fiscal cliff.

Technically, we have driven right off of it.

The Senate has passed something, and voted to extend the dead-line, but nothing has moved forward past the Senate.

Right now, we have driven off the cliff. But the idiots will simply give themselves more time, and still get nothing accomplished.

That article is completely miss-leading, it's nothing more or less than the WSJ and the MSM trying to keep people calm.

I thought the Constitution said that revenue raising bills needed to originate in the House, not the Senate. Just another example of how the current administration cannot abide by the rule of law.

Every year we see the politicians thrashing to get something, anything, accomplished in the last week.

It makes you wonder what they do the other 51...
