A big yep. Connective tissue is made of collagen which we don't get in modern diet. Google it.
Take 32 grams/day. Pain will probably clear in a week. Take a vitamin c for good measure. Post and let us know if better.
I don't have any pain going slow to prevent pain/tendonitis.

Old folks respond very well to resistance exercise. You are a rarity of rarities though, most prefer the chair vs the gym. Perhaps why you posted this? I have observed that weight lifters don't get bad knees. Ventura has two fake hips but the rest of the big guys I know of are still using what they were born with. Squatting 400lbs puts huge pressure on knees yet weight lifters keep on. I know office personal who never exercised need hips an knees. Research has said cartilage responds to pressure. Weight with good form is beneficial.

I've been blessed with great luck regarding persistant injuries; I have none

Many strength athletes have to use maximum effort. And as a result have injuries that persist long after they retire Especially shoulders

Bad news this week. Doctors found 3 cancerous polyps during my colonoscopy. Going for another colonoscopy Dec 17.


Squats. 155lbs 3X5. Good tough + 2 lbs
Bench. 95lbs 3X5 Good Add 5lbs.

First w/o in 3 weeks. Felt a minor pain in the surgery area. Good to go now.

Squats 135lb 3X5 Add 5lbs
Bench 90Lbs 3X5 Add 5lbs

Good workout. Building back up.

How's it going?
Had to take a few months off due to getting physical rehab for accident injuries. Will start up this week.

Deadlift 135Lbs 1X5 Add 10Lbs Deads were surprisingly easy.

First time lifting after physical therapy.
