    hello all,
Ive been watching this forum for a while now and want to thank everybody for all the great info and stories on here but, I am very proud to say that i offically own a glock!
    - i purchased a walther p22 about 6mo ago to learn how to shoot and because of the cheap ammo but i happily traded it in today for a Gen 3 G19 RTF2 ( yes it has the fishgills). i was gunna wait for the gen 4 but i don't think the changes are soo significant that i need to wait. i kno a lot of you don't like the "fishgill" slide serrations but i personally love them. and the rtf2 is much nicer than the standard gen3 IMO.
    - i pick it up on friday morning and will be at the range friday night :) but will for sure post pics as soon as i get it.
    - only mods i plan on doing are TRL3 and extended slide release

Congrats on the G19! You'll love it. I hated getting rid of mine, but I need a smaller carry gun for the summer so it went for a G26. Stock up on ammo and shoot the hell out of it.

Good for you! Enjoy your 19, a well-rounded piece indeed. If you were going to own one Glock this may be the one.

welcome to the forum and congrats! you got the same gun as me! cept mine has the straight serrations...

remeber to clean the copper packing lube before shooting!

(dont know if it would make a difference but will be easier to clean after shooting without the copper...)

as far as your ammo goes... shoot anything you like through it...

    target-
federal american eagle is my personal fav - not too dirty, never had any problems
winchester white box - dirtier but still never had any problem, fte once but i think it was a fluke
heard no problems with blazer brass or aluminium havent shot any through it myself
even heard wolf steel cased is fine through glocks (not many other pistols though)

DONT USE REMINGTON UMC (imo) - crap is dirty as hell and ive noticed a severe drop in accuracy with it, but seriously, dirty dirty dirty.. cleaning is no fun after a day at the range with that junk

far as defense ammo i personally go with speer gold dot, only because its what the guy handed me the first time when i said i wanted some +P home defense ammo... now i just pick up a box whenever im out at the range, slowly building up my stockpile...
