Well title says it all tried my first forced patina the other day on my Sog flash 2 soaked it in vinegar for more than 24 hours because of it being AUS-8...I think it turned out ok wish I had a carbon steel blade but don't know any cheap ones to practice on.... let me know what ya think

Get a Mora Clipper 860. Great little bushcraft knife with a carbon steel blade and a Scandi grind for under $20. I let stainless be stainless :supergrin:

You could order Opinels or hit up Walmart. Wally World has some Bucks with carbon steel (420HC) for relatively inexpensive.

I forced a patina on my RC-3 after I removed that awful finish that it came with.

thanks for the comments guys...ya i did that on purpose i really like the look of a patina and want to get some practice before i get my Spyderco Gayle Bradley and patina that...looks like i will be hitting up wally world before work today...thanks guys
