First post here on GT i have been reading tons of usefull and interesting post on here and I am glad to know there are so many other Glock lovers out there. As for my self i just caught the Glock bug with my recent purchase of a 3rd gen Glock 21 Born in august of 2009 and I am already on the hunt for more, I am pretty sure my next will be a Glock 19. so thanks for letting me join the club!
On a more serious note i have noticed with my new glock 21 if i load the mag to full cap which is 10 (california law) it will not slide up into the gun but if i take a round out to make 9 in the mag it will slide into the gun with the slide closed i also did a test and with the slide open i can put in a mag with 10 close the slide and it works fine any ideas?????
yes it happens with both mags that came with the gun, it seem like it might go in but i dont want to force it and break something....
Welcome to Glock Talk. I'm a fairly new member myself but you have joined a great forum with some very helpful members. Now to get to your question. I have a 21 as well. I had never tried to put a mag in with the slide closed until last week when I got my CCW Permit. Normally I'm at the range and I used to keep it in the case with the slide locked back and the mags out, now it rides at about 4 o'clock ready to go. I did notice it takes considerably more effort to slap a mag in with the slide closed than with it locked back. I'm sure that this has something to do with the internals on the gun, just not sure what parts specifically...
Welcome....... you will buy a 19. You will buy a 19. You will buy a 19. Guess what you should get next? Hey, how about a 19? I have a 19. I like my 19. Many GT'rs love their 19's. Do YOU have a 19? If you don't, you should consider getting a 19. Thats a Glock Model 19. Can't go wrong with a 19, if you are thinking about one, because I know you are. You will get bombarded with posts about adding a 19 to your collection. But hey what do I know? Welcome to the Glock side.
Trust me it'll go in. I just got a new G22 RTF2 (in Cali), and that happened with me, all you have to do is push it in hard. And by push I don't mean simply push but slap it into the magwell and it'll stay. And FYI you can never "hurt" a glock. They're as rock solid as handguns come.
yea and is it normal for it to be a total b****h to load the mag to full cap?? i mean after a few rounds it gets a little harder but tryin to put round number 10 in takes a lot of muscle.
Dont worry about it. My G27 does the same thing with any of my mags loaded to full capacity. You just need to give it a little slap with the palm of your hand to seat the mag. Glock mags can be a little tight fitting when loaded to max cap.
