Does anyone have experience with Firing Squad Firearms. I've been looking at their complete pistol builds and they're gorgeous! I searched for threads about this topic but couldn't find any. I'm pretty new here so I may not be using the search function correctly.
    Thanks

I've never heard of them and they offer no "About Us" information on their own website, which to me indicates that they have little or no history. So if you're planning on moving ahead I'd do so with caution - at your own peril...

And in regards to their "Murdered Out Glock 45" shown in your post above priced at $2,399, that's a bit much, even for "gorgeous".

Thanks for the reply. I’ve been in contact with them and they do all their advertising by social media. I was surprised that I couldn’t find threads about them here!

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I'd skip it on the name alone.

For that money you could send a pistol off to Barsto and have a barrel hand fit to your pistol. Send it off to Johnny Glock and have him tune the trigger exactly to your preferences. Still have money left over for 5 cases of ammo or an optic with slide milling.

    Um.....let me think about it....

"Just looking." is what many guys coming by the gun counter say.
"Looks are free," I tell them "Until the Bug bites you, and you've gotta buy!"

    Methinks you're bit.

I could just hear an attorney showing that pistol to the jury and saying the name.

Sticks and stones may break my bones but names will never hurt me.

Unless it's the name of your pistol, and you're sitting before a Jury.

I don't care how good that pistol might be; for me, that name - all by itself - is a deal-breaker.

Yes I wondered about that myself. But If your responsible and justified, here in Texas, I think you’d be ok.

    Agree.

And at that price you're most of the way to a Wilson EDC X9 or a STI. Or nearly twice the price of a Wilson slicked up Glock.

    Personally I'd go that route.

But the name really bugs me the most, can't imagine that'd go over well in court or public opinion if you ever had to use it.

I thought this thread was going to be about guns used in executions.

It reminds me of two men kissing. The word escapes me, but that describes it.

I live in NC and I haven't heard of them, but then again I don't do Facebook or social media.

Anyway, about the lack of threads here regarding the business in question; I think you'll find that there aren't too many people who frequent this website/forum who subscribe to full custom/blown out/high dollar Glock pistols...they're more into the basic pistol with as few "mods" as possible, utilizing "the K.I.S.S. principle", which has proven to be a great model for maintaining the brand's reliability and for keeping costs down. They're much happier avoiding common frustrations associated with aftermarket mods and take the $$ they saved by not spending it on those things or the high dollar Glocks and directing it instead towards what they consider more tangible and worthy items - like better sights of their choice, good personal defense and practice ammo, extra magazines, a good holster, training, etc. For the $$ they're asking for that one pistol, which I'm sure doesn't offer any advantage in performance or accuracy over a standard Glock pistol, one could purchase 'half a dozen garden variety Glock pistols -or- (if my maths are correct @$175 average cost for each 1,000 rnd. case) 13,700+ rounds of 9mm FMJ ammo!

The last sentence above kinda' puts things in perspective for most folks, unless of course they have a disposable income, in which case the only limitations of what they purchase would be their own imagination ;)
