I have had several upgrades to Firefox. Nice, but they wipe out my bookmarks completely and cause other problems. I would think they could upgrade without causing so many problems. Anyone else have this problem?

A few upgrades back but not recently.

Have you been updating your Java directly from Sunn? I keep Java up to date now and I don't get as many issues with my browser as I once did. I also use "clipmarks" add-in to automatically store my bookmarks online and updated daily.

    Really?

I've never lost a bookmark upgrading Firefox, sorry to hear it.

    PS

What do you mean by upgrading: new version, installing a plug in, etc?

I can't remember the exact wording, if it was upgrade or what, but I've had a couple in the last 3 months or so. I did have a backup of my bookmarks, so it was just the aggravation of reinstalling them. Or it could just be my lack of computer skills and knowledge, bad luck, or a full moon.

I did forget to add that I can no longer open video clips.

I'm running 2.0.0.6 and I have never lost my bookmarks.

I used to use Outlook for my email but when it started crashing on my new laptop with Vista I installed Thunderbird, been real happy with it.

I have considered Thunderbird, but did not know well it would work.

What I like about both is how quick they load and process the information. Outlook was a bigger need before I installed ACT! which now handles my calender and contacts.
