    I'm running Firefox.
I've never had a problem with Firefox before, but a couple of days ago it updated to version 3.5.7 and now it locks-up about every 20 minutes.

    Anyone else?
    Any suggestions?
I'm not impressed with Firefox' speed anyway. Can anyone suggest a better browser? Thanks!

    Just installed Opera...
    Looking good so far.
    It seems faster.

I would reinstall the program and see what happens. I changed modems and my speed increased. Firefox can be tricky. I use it most of the time and also Chrome but I like Firefox.

Ever since mine crashed at work I could never get it going again which sucks because it was pretty damn fast since I have fios at work now i have to use chrome and it runs like dialup. Never had problem with it at home on my personal computers. I have had some modems act weird when they fail ???

    Google is communist.

I have had Firefox crash a few times since updating but not regularly. It did crash occasionally before was well.

After after installing early this AM abd using Opera for only a few minutes, it seems much faster than Firefox. Yields sharper graphics also.

Spent over a year dealing with Firefox glitches. Never could get it to work right. It kept deleting stuff and was very buggy. Finally got fed up and installed Opera. Haven't had a single problem since. ;) Love Opera! You made the right choice.

After a couple of hours using Opera, I'm beginning to agree with you.
Faster, renders sharper graphics (on my machine at least), and I like the choices for using and managing "bookmarks".

Took me a bit to get used to the tab browsing but now it's great. Don't know how I got by with those other browsers.

I can't imagine what's going on -- I installed 3.5.7 on three different machines with no problems (XP Pro on all machines...).

I like Opera -- it's a truly speedy browser. But I switched back to Firefox because I'm so used to it at this point.

Running Firefox 3.5.7 here, since it came out, with zero issues.

Home-built PC with an AMD Athlon XP 2700+ processor, on an Asus motherboard, with Windows XP.

I'm liking Opera pretty well, I wish I had tried it sooner.
Don't know why, but it does run much faster on my machine.

I like the "bookmarks" manager better also.

I think Opera is a much smaller application, with a lot less overhead, than Firefox, which would explain its speed.

I don't know why Okie is having speed problems with his... :frown:

Had a similar problem, I think Firefox and Flash Player don't get along too well sometimes. Try installing the new Flash Player, came out a few days ago I believe.

Also I installed the 3.6 Beta Firefox which is a little better behaved:
