There's also the option to quit. Just saying.

So the counter argument is, the rainbow is a symbol of God’s covenant with man. So by wearing it, they are honoring God, not the homosexuals.

Frankly, I’m a bit bent out of the frame by the homosexuals co-opting of the rainbow for their purposes. I love rainbows but I don’t want to be identified as homosexual. I suppose it doesn’t matter at this point in my life. Historically, homosexuals haven’t been attracted to me, on the flip side, unfortunately, neither are women.

There is also an option to sue the pants off them or ask people to boycott them until they change their policy.

That is very interesting...good point! :)

That is understandable because people do seem to jump to conclusions about a lot of things. No one wants to be thought by others to be something or someone different than who they really are. :) Non-LGBTQ "allies" also wear rainbow pins so nowadays it wouldn't necessarily mean that you are a member of the "community". If you have any Irish in you, a shamrock pin to accompany it would send a different message. :)

Could be that you're like me and are just a little slow at picking up on "signals". ;)

    Stay safe, Emily

I really think that it is wrong for a company to require employees to wear something like that. I thankfully work for a company that is very accepting and inclusive, but I would not want to see my non-LGBTQ co-workers forced to wear something that shows support for myself and others. Or any other issue/cause for that matter.

From the sounds of this article neither does Kroger, because as others have stated here, other employees have worn other aprons or covered the rainbow without repercussions. There is definitely more to this story.

    I don't care about anyone's orientation. To me, it's a non-issue.
I just don't think it should be forced on us constantly.

    Well.....

    Not really....

There are some things which are outside of that, and there is a reasonably strong argument that this is one of them.

We actually had a protest a few blocks from home. A Whataburger employee wore a BLM mask and a drive thru customer complained. Mgr. Asked employee to remove mask and she quit instead so mgr. Told her to leave the restaurant. Police were called. For the next couple days protests were out front about corporate being hateful racists. It is just freaking stupid.

Surprisingly I have had a few guys like the cut of my poly uniform pants. I am or was a twink.

I think the words you are looking for are - Christian appropriation. They wanna fit in but just don't.

Every show and commercial now has a same sex couple.

    Explanation follows.

At one point in time, whenever a Negro entertainer would appear on television, a couple of my aunts would turn off the television.

Fast forward a number of years.

Marlboro did advertising wherein there would be an idyllic picture with a white smoker in it. Then, with the same scenery, the advertisement would have a Negro actor. The research confirmed that if the Negro oriented advertisement was in posters or outdoor advertising in Negro neighborhoods, the advertisement would be remembered.

Then the testing became more sophisticated. White people in certain areas would not be offended, so you got more results.

In CA, 37% of children being born come as a result of cross race marriages.

So when you see an ad, there will be whites, Negroes, Asiatics. The best one I like is the television one where there are a zillion lawyers, one black lawyer only and he stands in close proximity to the firm's owner.

The same sex couple in the current local television ad by a local furniture retailer is run because it doesn't offend the general population and that company is trying to market subtly a gay collection. This runs only in the LA County area.

You know what ads bother me? Spectrum advertisements. They boast of reliability. My phone/computer are on Spectrum. Yesterday, September 20, 2020, I activated a cell phone for $8 a month so I can call Spectrum about its poor service. The local Spectrum had repeated breakdowns on Saturday.

Yeah, but suing is a much better option.

So you would be ok with Kroger firing someone for being black, or Muslim, then?

If this case has merit then I believe that they are doing the right thing by not just quitting. I’m not big on lawsuits but at some point folks that have Christian convictions on issues such as homosexuality are going to have to stand up for themselves. If this was really about diversity then corporate Kroger would allow employees to freely choose whether or not they want to support the LGTBQXYZ cause. Isn’t that what “diversity “ is supposed to be? There needs to be legal push back to the “woke” garbage being crammed down employees and school systems.
