You guys must have strong relation. Good for you and your people.
It's not a new thing either. This guy set a couple of fires in houses and was found in the fire station wearing a stolen uniform and trying to start the fire engine (a Model T Ford).
From a 1916 newspaper:
WANTED TO BE MEMBER OF FIRE BRIGADE.
At the Supreme Court yesterday George Joseph Windsor (aged 21), the convicted author of the fire raising episode at Devonport, was presented before Judge Chapman for sentence; His Honor said the evidence showed that accused was mentally deficient, ' although his condition did 'not amount to insanity.
The prisoner set fire to the house for the manifest purpose of creating alarm, and by assisting the fire brigade to obtain a position as fireman. The Crown had also shown that fires had occurred under suspicious circumstances in places where the prisoner was previously employed.
The jury had found that accused was a pyromaniac. The best course was to place accused under supervision for a lengthy period. Not only did he destroy property, he also placed lives in danger. He was to be detained for reformative treatment for six years and upon his conduct would depend his release by the Prisons Board.
I'm 70% English, 20% Scandinavian, 5% Geman and 5% Scottish. My "people" are all those who aren't racist pr1cks.
Maybe what Maine said was unsavory. Let's just meet in the middle and agree that "******s is crazy"(citation: Jay-z). Can we just compromise on that?
That must say "humans is crazy". Then Julie McQueen, president of Carbon TV, doesn't have to hear about me defending your, and Maine's, freedom of speech in the presence of her moderators who don't like racist sounding stuff.
Don't know or care who that is lol. Defend my freedom of speech, or don't. I'm sure I should be impressed (I'm not though).
I would rather you throw the 1st amendment under the bus. Get it on.
The Bill of Rights aren't for everyone so do what you like.
What do you mean by that? I believe the bill of rights are to protect every American citizen, and they are what makes America the greatest country on earth.
Like I said, if you don't understand what that means I don't need you as an advocate.
I'm not the 'Tard Whisperer your looking for.
Ouch, really? That is a different level of discourse. You really told me lol.
In case you still don't understand the nuance, I will elaborate. The first amendment was listed first because it is the bedrock. It is pretty much sacred. I don't appreciate people advocating for it in half measures. I don't want the abolishment of the first amendment. If you don't really believe in the first amendment, you're not in my corner.
"Dad. Are we pyromaniacs?"
"Yes we arson."
How ironic that a thread about firebugs caught on fire.
I went out with one woman who turned out to be an arsonist.
I met her on match.com
"Some men just want to watch the world burn."
Ok, I admit I laughed at that one.
Took a couple of arson classes. One of them was pretty gruesome and showed pictures of victims. I remember one was very a dark something in the middle of more dark with a bunch of white chicklets in the center of the photo.
A guy siting next to me asked, " What are those white things ? "
Your remark "I would rather you throw the 1st amendment under the bus." stands on it's own. Nothing I've said advocates against the First Amendment. I even went so far as to say I would defend a racist pr1cks' right to say what they do. But I reserve the right to call them out on it.
I'm in. because this getting poofed.
Yeah, this is why we can't have nice things.
I'll let my Japanese wife know that you guys think I'm racist. enjoy your Bernie vote.
