I'm excited, I'm a few bureaucratic steps away from being able to exercise my second amendment rights!

Last night I finished my CCW class. Next step... go to the county Sherrif and apply for my CCW!

Thats great... On Tuesday I took my CC Class... I now have to go to the courthouse and file my paperwork.

I can't wait to exercise my 2nd amendment rights as well!

Congrats... Whats cool for me here in Prince William County... I don't even have to go to the court house if I don't want to... I can mail it in with 50 bucks and a self addressed stamped envelope....

When I got my Minnesota permit I had to go to my County Sheriff’s office, but I was able to send in my Utah permit application. Florida is the same way.<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:eek:ffice:eek:ffice" />

I'm definitely going to get my Permit, even though I'm not sure how often I will actually carry.

I work from home, so when I go out and about on erands I'll probably carry... but going out at night to restaurants I won't be able to. In Ohio it isn't legal to carry into any restaurant that can sell liquor. Also, many of the places I go out to eat are in Downtown Cleveland... Cleveland has draconian regulations which are in gross violation of state law. Until the Ohio Supreme court spanks the City of Cleveland, I can't carry there either.

Thats too bad. Hopefully your state comes around and makes it easier for you all to carry. Here we can go into places that serve alcohol but are restricted from it. Actually I think we can "legally" have a beer at a place, but no way am I going to even have one while out carrying. I wouldn't even want to think about how court would go for you if you had even ONE drink and had to protect yourself with your weapon. That case would be UGLY!!!

I passed my class on 3/13 and I just drove to the courthouse today and completed and turned in my paperwork and fingerprints. Now, in NC, we have up to a 90 day wait for the CC permit to be issued. I've marked it on my calendar to check on day 91. Hopefully, I'll get the e-mail well before then.
