Here is a pic of my gpz salvage bike rebuild.
Looks great...how long did it take you?
... and how much did it $$$ ?
I can hear Top Gun theme song in the background already.
"I HAVE THE NEED FOR SPEED!!!"
Thanks for the replies.
The project took me almost a year due to the lack of salvage parts (the bike was only offered in 1995 and 96 inthe U.S.)
I have about $2600.00 into the bike.
Did you get a regular title with it when you got the frame or a salvage title?
I was curious about how you can turn a salvage title into a "regular" one and ride it around legally...
Can that be done?
BTW - Very sweet looking!
What time is it?
Time to ride!
I bought my bike with a salvage title and it still has a salvage title.
The process is simple in the state of Iowa you local DMV can let you know the process in your state.
In Iowa you simply take the bike once the repairs have been made to you local sheriffs office and have a saftey inspection done.
This inspection is very simple functioning lights, signals, mirrors, etc.
And last but not least the frame and engine numbers are ran to make sure the bike of its engine are not stolen.
After the inspection you are issued paperwork to take to the local DMV where they will issue a title but it will be marked previous salvage.
