I was going to keep the Glock 23 and just send it out for a grip job to be done. BUT today while out looking the local shop actually had the Ruger SR9c in stock..got lucky too they had just gotten them in a hour B4 I got there. love it so far improvenemts from Glock to ME are.

    1. Better grip
    2. A bit thinner
    3. Ambi mag release
    4. Ambi safety
    5. Fully adjustable sights
    6. Nice size
    7. finger grip extender comes FREE

    the cool parts

Love the 17 round magazine adapter/extension

now that ive cleaned it up I just need to get it to the range.

Oh and the cost difference between the new SR9c and getting the glocks grip job was less than id have spent on the grip job..I ended up owing them $75($50 actually but I got some ammo with the gun) after all was said and done. which was less than a grip job for the 23 would have cost.. I think I did well!

Nice pistol. I sold my SR9 and am sorry I did. Very reliable, handled great and looked good. Enjoy your toy.

I'm not a fan of SR9 (and will never trade any of my Glock for it). But SR9c seems fill in some spot for those wish to carry a slim compact light weight pistol. Congrats.

Wow, just based on those pics, it looks like Ruger re-invented a Steyr S9... and that is not a bad thing.

Congrats! I am a big Ruger fan, and like the SR9 series as well. If it works for you better than a Glock, its better.

Also don't get flustered if you have a couples jams the first 200 rounds or so, I hear the SR9s need a little break in.

I am a big advocate of choosing whatever weapon and caliber fits you and fills your personal needs the best.

Cool looking gun and congrats! I expect a full range report once you get back home with it on whatever day that may be.

I did the opposite,I sold my sr9 for a glock 26.Mine was full size,I liked how slim it was but didn't care for the external safety.Ghost has been working on a trigger for the sr9's also.I will be looking for your range report.Nice gun.

actually the SR9c trigger it totally different its pretty much the equal of what the Glock 23's was its a lot better than the larger SR9's trigger. Actually after a few hundred rounds this trigger(i think) will probably be better than the Glocks was.
