Well I have finally joined the Glock family. It's been a long time coming but I made it! I have been contemplating buying a Glock for a few years now but I just diddnt have the money to spend on a new piece soooo I decided to trade in my full size HK USP for a G26. I like the HK but it's just too big. Its a fun shooter but just not very practical. I am looking forward to having my G26 accompany me in my waistband.

Thanks guys. Can't wait to take it out to the range tomorrow... Any suggestions on ammo or will she eat pretty much anything? I may polish the ramp tonight too.

For factory ammo, I have yet to find ANYthing that Glocks won't gulp right down and poop right out.

For 9mm's especially, there's literally a plethora of good range ammo to choose from. You'll hear from several who are die-hard WWB users (I used to be one), but anytime I can get a deal on Sellier&Bellot, I buy it. Otherwise, I'm pretty pleased with the results using Federal Champion, although I've torn up lots of paper with PMC and BlazerBrass. However, the S&B and FC seem to be much more consistent and accurate than the other two, in my experience.

Congrats! Shoot whatever is cheapest and never mind the polishing. ;)

The G-26 may be the greatest CCW out there.

Don't polish the ramp. Just shoot the thing. It'll eat anything.

I bought this gun brand new and the finish on the slide is like 98.5%... Anyone else seen this on a brand new Glock? The dealer said he has had this g26 for quite a while. The shell casing was collected from the over a year ago. Is this "imperfect" slide from the factory or from the dealer? Either way its not terrible... any thoughts on doing a duracoat?

I prefer the hard chrome just because of the two tone look but to each his own. Congrats on the new toy

I recently got my 26 (2 weeks ago) and I noticed the same thing on my slide...you can definitely tell the difference between it and the finish on my 2 19s...
